This summer, I am excited to once again join Tour De Simcha, an exhilarating 65-mile cycling event benefiting the children and families of Chai Lifeline.
This year I am riding in memory of my Bubby, Necha Bas Yitzchak. Although she passed away when I was a young adult, the life lessons she taught me are still with me today.
“Never be too proud to pick up a penny from the ground” and to this day I think of her when I see a penny on the ground, and I put it in a Pushka in her memory.
She wasn’t rich with money, but she was rich with love and happiness. Whatever little she had, she shared with others. She knitted and crocheted sweaters, hats, and scarves and gave them all to family and friends as gifts. She donated hand-made items every year to my school’s fundraisers.
She and my grandfather bought me my first bike from a garage sale! My grandfather spraypainted the bike silver so it should look “new”.
Every dollar I raise for Camp Simcha this year will be in her zechus.
Every mile I ride and every dollar I raise will help support all of Chai Lifeline’s amazing services and programs, including Camp Simcha, Chai Lifeline’s summer program for children with life-threatening and lifelong illnesses.
The difference Chai Lifeline makes in their lives is immeasurable! I have heard first hand from Chai Lifeline families what it means to them when Chai Lifeline steps into their lives.
My objective is to raise $5,000 and I hope you will help me reach this goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
Please contribute generously to this important cause by clicking on the donate button now.
On behalf of the children of Chai Lifeline, thank you for your support.
